I want myself and another driver on the insurance. Can I bring their licence with me?

No, sorry we must see every individual driver in person with their licence

Do I have to pay a deposit?

We only take deposits for minibus hire which is 50% of the hire charge and this amount is
non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

I’m 22. Can I drive a minibus?

No. Sorry, drivers must be over 25 to drive a minibus and have category D1 on their licence.

Can I drive a Mercedes 7.5 ton box van on a car driving licence?

Yes, providing you have C1 category on your licence and are aged 22 or over.

Can I take a hire vehicle to Europe?

Yes you can with the exception of the Mercedes 7.5 ton box van. Please contact the office for further information on price and requirements.

Do you hire out cars too? 

Yes, we have small or saloon cars to hire. Please note though that all our cars are manual.

What happens if I breakdown?

All WW’s vehicles are members of the National Transport Breakdown Services Ltd who are on call 24 hours a day to assist you. Simply ring the number displayed in your hire vehicle.

I need to make an early start. Can I pick my hire vehicle up the night before?

Yes. You may collect your vehicle between 5:00pm and 6:00pm the night before and subject to availability return any time up to midnight.

Do I have to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel?

WW’s policy on fuel is like for like; e.g. collect with a ½ tank – return with a ½ tank etc.

What type of van would I need to move house?

Most people choose either a Mercedes 7.5 ton box van or a Transit Luton.

Do you supply a sack barrow if needed?

Yes. We can also supply blankets, ties/ropes, piano wheels, ratchet straps to help with your removal requirements.

Can I leave my own vehicle at WW?

Yes. We have a large car park that customers are welcome to leave their vehicles in. Just turn left by the trees.

Can I smoke in your vehicles?

From 1st July 2007, it has been against the law to smoke in virtually all enclosed public places, workplaces and public and work vehicles. There will be very few exemptions from the law. To comply with this new legislation WW have no smoking signs on the premises and in all our vehicles and ask all hirers to sign a No smoking disclaimer prior to taking the vehicle.
